Tofu Dumplings
Ingredients
Filling
- 1/2 head of Napa cabbage, shredded
- 1 block of tofu, crumbled
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp mushroom powder
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- Canola or sesame oil
Dough
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup hot water
- 2 tbsp room temperature water
Chili sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/8 cup canola / sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp sugar
Directions
- Combine all filling ingredients
- Saute filling over medium heat until cabbage is cooked, then set aside
- Combine all dough ingredients
- Knead dough for 10-15 minutes
- Rest covered for 30-60 minutes
- Divide dough to make thin 4 inch disks
- Pinch filling into dough disks to make a dumping shape
- Saute dumpings over medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown
- Add a little bit of water and close lid to let steam for 5-10 minutes
- Combine all chili sauce ingredients and use as a dip
