Sandwich Bread
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (around 110 degrees)
Directions
- Mix water, 1/2 the sugar, yeast
- Cover and let rest for 5 minutes
- Whisk together flour, salt, and 1/2 the sugar
- Mix water into dough
- Knead and form into a ball
- Cover and let rest in a warm place for 1 hour
- Shape dough to fit into bread pan
- Cover and let rest for 30 minutes (or until it fills the pan)
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped
- Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack
