Pretzels
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 packet yeast
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1 egg
Directions
- Combine warm water, yeast, salt, and sugar in a bowl and rest for 5 minutes
- Mix in flour and form into a ball
- Coat the bowl and dough with oil and rest covered for 1 hour
- Divide dough into 8ths and roll into pretzel shapes
- Add baking soda to a pot of water and bring to a boil
- Dip pretzels in the boiling water for a few seconds and place onto a baking pan
- Beat egg and egg wash pretzels
- Sprinkle salt onto pretzels
- Bake at 450 for 10 - 15 minutes
