Falafel
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup chickpeas (soaked, cooked, or canned)
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro and parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp coriander
- 1/4 tsp cayenne powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp flour
- Olive oil (for frying)
Directions
- Blend all ingredients (except the oil) until a dough forms (playdough consistency)
- Form dough into small flattened balls about an inch thick (~ 6 of them)
- Fry each side of the falafels in oil on medium high heat until crispy and brown, or optionally air fry at 400F
