Crispy Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 package extra firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon canola or olive oil
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
- A pinch of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
Directions
- Dice tofu into 1 inch cubes.
- Lay tofu 1 cube high between cloth or paper towels.
- Place a baking sheet and heavy item (such as a cast iron pan) on top of the tofu to drain it for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Toss tofu in the bowl, and add in corn starch, coating evenly
- Place the tofu onto a baking sheet and bake in oven for 30 minutes, flipping halfway
- Allow tofu to cool, then toss in your sauce of choice - good options are teriyaki, General Tso's, buffalo, curry, etc.
